Hold your breath, don't say a word, let our hearts connect and flourish our love... Hibiscus Flower's heart-stopping beauty is just one of the magnificient works that you'll find in ~mlcamaro's gallery! (
Wow! I feel so taken aback, as the colors in this image are absolutely breathtaking! The design, composition, and flow are astounding and all work together perfectly to illustrate a singularly sweet and precious moment. Truly a fantastically beautiful and uplifting image. Brilliantly accomplished!
I actually put more research into my names than into my character designs...*guilty* That's fun XD I'm usually broke 100% of the time since i live alone now and have to save for food, but i love getting flowers for my friend's birthdays c:
Well i suppose...hah me it's the exact opposite (kind of :3) XD i love working on new ways to colour, in a way i'm better on paper now. *sigh* Copics are expensive! The art supplies shop outside my school has a whole range of them, but they're 9,50.- a pen and i can't buy them! But good luck ^^
I actually draw for over eight hours a day c: so i don't usually scrap my stuff, but when i start a head and don't like it (because i start by the eyes and the chin always makes me cringe somehow god i hate chins.) i'll start a new one, but i'll keep it :I i don't know why. I mean i still have my drawings from before primary XD I bet i am, with my drawings ;3;
Aww but so are you~
[Aah i usually use a 0.5mm pen for outer lines and a 0.01mm for really small details, but recently my 0.01mm stopped working. Now i use an XS Faber-Castell for linework c: But i never thought about the smudge lines :0 i'll try it out! (though Faber-Castell is an immediate drying pen but whatever) If i took breaks from drawing or inking i'd end up drawing again...XD
I actually hate not having different size of pens on me, i really freak out. I like being able to finish something. Imagine going to school without PENCILS AND A RUBBER oh god i can't even.)
Just joking, LOL But seriously, what a coincidence! I love researching flower meanings and the symbolism of different birds across cultures too. In fact, I put together a bouquet for a friend's birthday through research this year. It was fun.
Ahaha which linework???? XD Everyone's got their strengths, chocolato-san. I can't colour to save my own life, so I make up by working extra hard on the sketches. (Would really love to learn though; both Photoshopping and Copics. Think I'll start this year )
Oh, I get what you mean. There are so MANY friggin' times I have to resist the urge to crumple my drawings too. Sometimes it makes me wonder; if we're all masochists here. =_= At least, I could be.
Thank you! >///< You're just too sweet.
[P.S. Dunno if this helps, but the trick to good line-art is control. My usual M.O. is to trace a completed drawing again on tracing paper before inking it. I prefer using one pen of a thicker nib size; and ease up the press of my hand for quite, light flicks when filling in the finer lines. It's also important to start from the opposite side of your drawing hand so it doesn't smudge. Taking breaks in between also doesn't hurt.
Of course, it's always best if you use the right pens, with various nib sizes. I'm just being a stingy amateur operating on a budget. :/)
Flower meanings are interesting too :3 i do a lot of research for my characters' names, and flower meaning are usually at the top of my list, after birds (for some reason?)
Awwww but i'm not even that good! I do love colouring digitally though. Plus your gallery is filled with such pretty linework i'm jealous D: I have a horrible sense of style so my clothes are usually simple things (unless i'm doing Panda Hero fanart, idk) I love really detailed eyes and love drawing/colouring them in general, so i often do a lot of close-ups (which isn't good.) But everything's hard when you're never satisfied with what you draw ): Aww, aren't you just adorable D: there should be so many more people like you x)
